Oxen Park was created in 2006 by Geoff, Ivan and Rick three vastly experienced business and HR leaders who have known each other for nearly 20 years. Our business is named after the small hamlet in the Lake District where we turned an idea into a business plan. Shauna Hughes joined our team as a partner in 2015. Our team is completed by and complimented by Sarah and Dani who help look after our clients and resources.
We have all had varied careers in organisations of different sizes and sectors; we have each been successful and struggled in equal measure but above all we have learned lots including sticking to our values and our principles; it is these that guide us now.
Considered to be independent minded, adaptable and forward thinking; attributes he now carries into his consulting work after 32 years in financial services with successful roles in sales, marketing, project management and customer service.
An experienced HR Director (who has fulfilled both Business Partner and COE roles) and who, since 2000, has consulted externally in OD and Change for various business transformation efforts for large/medium sized companies in UK and Europe.
An experienced business leader, entrepreneur and expert in Human Asset measurement, he was one of the founding partners of Saratoga, the HR benchmarking and measurement consultancy and, most recently, was Executive Deputy Chairman of AdviserPlus, the UK’s leading provider of manager HR advice solutions.
Shauna has many years experience in a variety of global senior leadership roles, holds a degree in Occupational Psychology, a Masters in Human Resource Management and is a Master NLP practitioner, a Certified Mindfulness teacher, a certified practitioner of hypnosis and CBT. Her main love is for her three young children but when possible she meditates and travels.
Sarah has always had a fascination with the human mind, what makes people tick and the power of persuasion. This has taken her along a journey that started off with a degree in Psychology which then led to a career in Social Services working with people with physical and mental disabilities. A disenchantment with working in the public sector resulted in her making a life changing leap into private sector, where she entered the agency world of marketing and advertising.
A focus on customer and client experience is undoubtedly the constant thread running through Danielle’s career in various roles in office management and HR. She is driven by a need to see things done right and naturally succeeded in HR quality & HR customer services settings.
